Top Quality
GCAD
assures top quality and accuracy for each
CAD file. Converted files are checked and
rechecked and consistently displayed our
passion for attention to detail. We work
closely with all clients to ensure that
the final CAD files match the requirements
of your project exactly. Completed CAD files
match the required customer standards: layering,
detailing, text height, dimensioning styles,
etc.
GCAD
creates customer profile to ensure consistency
standards in the customer profile are applied
to each project. For an initial conversion,
GCAD
recommends that the customer send several
documents, along with the specific layering
standards, blocks, fonts, titleblocks, etc.
It is helpful to lay out the expectations
fully and communicate in as much length
as possible.
GCAD
performs follow-up procedures to verify
that the CAD files have met all of your
specific project requirements. If any inconsistencies
with the files are detected, GCAD
updates the files immediately and supplies
the updates to your office.
Strict
Confidentiality
GCAD
is committed to absolute client confidentiality.
GCAD
maintains state-of-the-art security systems
and network to limit access to project information
only to those individual that are directly
working on the project.
GCAD
considered all of the information related
to your project is proprietary and confidential.
Any information submitted to GCAD
in the course of performing CAD drafting
services will not be disclosed to any third
party without prior and written approval
of the client.
Procedures
The
document conversion is accurately performed
using AutoCAD software applications. GCAD
has developed 4 stages processes including
Communication, CAD Drafting, Quality Assurance
and Project Report to make your outsourcing
work well.
1.
Communication. Send your order form, depoisits,
original hardcopies or PDF documents and
special requirments to GCAD
Company.
Your project is reviewed and recorded. If
your project requirements are not completely
understood we will contact you immediately.
2.
CAD Drafting. CAD drafter draws every entity
into AutoCAD according to the actual dimensions,
bearings, distances and coordinates from
the original document. Each entity is placed
on the appropriate layer, and any blocks
supplied by the client are incorporated
into drawing. The finished file is a dimensionally
accurate, full-scaled and layered AutoCAD
DWG file.
3. Quality Assurance. The CAD file enters
QA testing. QA compares it to the original
document for accuracy. Errors and omissions
are noted and corrected as necessary. QA
manager reviews the corrected document,
verify spelling checks, layering standards
and x-refs for 100% accuracy. Create final
CAD file.
4. Project Report. The project report includes
invoice and 3 files: DWG file, PDF color
and b/w files. The completed electronic
files are distributed to the client via
email or Internet FTP transfer. Upon
request by the customer, the paper documents
can be returned, destroyed or archived by
GCAD
for future needs by the client.
Standards
GCAD
automatically uses the AIA layering standards
during the conversion of a document unless
the client has supplied their own set of
layering standards.
GCAD
encourage our clients to submit any predefined
symbols, blocks and attributes with each
order. During our conversion process, we
then automatically incorporate this reference
data into each CAD file. Symbol libraries,
blocks and attributes are not necessary;
however, they will provide added control
and flexibility for your final converted
documents.
Ambiguities
can exist on almost any sheet and there
must be conversion rules in place to handle
them. These rules also ensure communication
consistency between GCAD
and our clients. Some of our common ambiguities
include: undimensioned original drawings,
unclear data on the original documents,
and data conflicts. CAD drafter will use
the scanned image as a reference to create
the CAD file. In such cases, the actual
dimension shown on the document is used
as the default.
